Vision Board Tips for Upcoming Eclipses

Happy September! I’ve always loved this month because it carries such a sense of change and fresh energy. And wow do we have some change coming our way. It all starts this Sunday with the full moon on September 7th.

This will be the perfect time to release old patterns and set intentions. I’ve got a bunch of eclipse intel and 5 vision board tips to help you work with this cosmic energy that says "let go and reset."

During this month we can open a cosmic window to freshen our intentions, goals, and vision board and release what no longer works. Not only is it eclipse season, which means big cosmic turning points are on the way, but we’ve got Saturn heavily involved making this a time of detox and release. It all begins on the full moon Sunday, September 7 (Lunar Eclipse) and on the new moon Sunday, September 21 (Solar Eclipse).

Eclipses have a way of shaking us out of routines and aligning us with deeper truth, whether we feel ready or not. Think of them as celestial course-corrections with sudden insights, emotional releases, and powerful resets that clear the path for what’s next.

My Vision Whiteboards As Proof of Impact

Before we dive into the details, I want to share how I’m already feeling and working with this powerful eclipse energy.

If you know your astrology chart, pay special attention to the houses that hold Pisces and Virgo — those are the areas of life being activated by these eclipses. For me, that’s the 6th and 12th houses, which line up exactly with the Virgo–Pisces axis. With Saturn currently sitting in my 6th house, the emphasis is crystal-clear: routines, clean-up, and practical order.

Sometimes you really can feel eclipse energy building before the exact dates. I’m living proof. I’ve been hit with a double wave of “clean-up and get-it-together” energy. In the past few weeks I’ve completely gutted my website, installed a new theme, reorganized my starter packs and blog posts, and now I’m redesigning the footer (the little things count too).

The energy hasn’t just been about digital tidying up. It’s spilled over into planning and visioning. I’ve turned my whiteboard into a hybrid “Vision Whiteboard”: part vision board with inspiring images, part project management system with calendars and Post-its. It’s half dream, half strategy and honestly, exactly the kind of Virgo–Pisces eclipse magic the cosmos is asking for right now.

What You Can Expect

So now, I’ll walk you through what to expect and be aware of during the two September eclipses. Then I’ll give you a summary of the overall vibe they create together. Finally, I’ll share five practical tips for applying this energy to your vision board (or simply your personal goals), so you can align your manifesting work with the universe’s timing.

Eclipse seasons happen at least twice a year, and each one usually brings several eclipses. This fall season comes with a one-two punch: first a Pisces Lunar Eclipse on the 7th, followed two weeks later by a Virgo Solar Eclipse on the 21st. Together, they form a bridge as one side dissolves what’s outgrown, the other lays fresh ground for what’s next.

The Pisces Lunar Eclipse is emotional, dreamy, and cleansing. It opens the floodgates of awareness and shows you the loops, coping patterns, and habits that no longer serve your growth.

You may feel more sensitive, more intuitive, or simply more aware of where life feels too small, patched together, or confining. Pisces energy doesn’t fit into neat boxes as it wants you to open up to mystery, compassion, forgiveness, and higher perspective.

That can feel messy at first.

Old routines might unravel, emotions may surge, and a sense of grief or fatigue may accompany the endings. But this is release with a purpose. It’s time to clear emotional clutter so you don’t drag the old baggage into the new cycle forming.

Then, as the Virgo Solar Eclipse arrives, the reset becomes visible. Virgo energy thrives on clarity and practical change. Where Pisces asked you to surrender, Virgo asks you to organize. It shines a spotlight on the small choices of everyday life — your body care, your habits, your work rhythms, your energy management.

Suddenly you may see what’s on routines, what drains you, and what no longer supports who you’re becoming. The beauty of Virgo is that it doesn’t demand massive leaps. Instead, it nudges you to make focused adjustments: a shift in routine, a healthier boundary, a streamlined practice that quietly upgrades your entire reality.

Together, these two eclipses are a cosmic detox and reset. Pisces clears the emotional debris, Virgo refines the structure of daily life. One dissolves, the other rebuilds. Both are working together to move you from an old version of yourself to a new life you’re stepping into.

5 Eclipse Vision Board Tips for September

Step One: Review Your Current Vision Board

Take a good look. What’s still speaking to you? What feels stale, heavy, or even “not mine anymore”? Sometimes we put images on the board because they once represented safety or success, but now they feel like costumes we’ve outgrown. If a picture, word, or symbol brings up fatigue or self-criticism rather than joy and excitement, that’s a clue. It’s ready to be released.

Step Two: Release With Intention

You don’t have to wait until January to do a fresh board. Right now, the eclipses are giving you permission to clear. Pull down the items that no longer resonate and bless them for the role they played in your journey. Thank them for getting you this far. Then find something new to put in its place or find some beautiful decorative paper to put in there.

Step Three: Notice the Loops

These eclipses spotlight the mental chatter we all fall into: “I’ll only be ready when…” or “I’m not good enough yet…” If your board has become a shrine to perfectionism, pause. Ask: “Is this really true? Or is it just an old tape playing?” Swap the loop of “not ready” with an image that grounds you in presence, self-trust, and emotional honesty.

Step Four: Choose Emotional Alignment Over Control

One of the deepest lessons of these eclipses is that trying to micro-manage every detail won’t get you to your dream life faster. Instead, focus on the feeling tone you want each image to evoke. Do you want your board to radiate peace? Playfulness? Courage? Healing? Choose images that light up your body with sensation, not just your brain with ideas.

Step Five: Prepare for Breakthroughs

When we release the old and open to the new, there can be fatigue, grief, or tender emotions surfacing. That’s normal — it means you’re clearing outdated codes. On the other side, the space you create is fertile ground for breakthroughs. Be ready for fresh images, symbols, or even wild ideas to come rushing in. Jot them down, even if you don’t paste them yet. Your 2026 board is already whispering to you.

In short: September’s double eclipse cycle is a cosmic decluttering project. Use it to strip your vision board down to what truly matters, confront the self-doubt loops, and prepare for a bold new cycle of manifesting.

ps. my website is a mess because I just gutted the theme design for it but when these eclipses are over it should look smashingly fabulous.

This summer was a little different for me. On the surface, it was busy and a bit stressful filled with lots of rebranding work behind the scenes as I prepare for vision board season 2026.
